Travel and Transportation

FLY: The closest airport to La Quinta is Palm Springs International Airport, approximately a 20 - 30 min drive away.

DRIVE: You may also fly into Los Angeles International Airport and drive to La Quinta. The drive is approximately 2:30 hrs away without traffic. It may be a little longer depending on the time of day, so please factor that in. Hint: Allow plenty of time and avoid Friday afternoon, Sunday evening and rush hour!

GETTING AROUND: Renting a car is recommended for enjoying the area but is not essential as taxis are available and shuttles will be provided on the day of the wedding.

Weather

December is sunny and beautiful in La Quinta. The mid-day temperature hits an average high of about 75 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 Celsius. The night temperature drops back down to about 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 Celsius). The average rainfall in December is about a half of an inch total for the month.
